抄録: In the postwar education of Japan, it has been assumed that there is a Japanese original view of equality. It is a view of equality treating children regardless of their ability. But, recently, ability grouping class increases rapidly. Was the Japanese view of equality changed? This paper paid attention to the confrontation that happened by education for children with disability and analyzed their discourses. We find out that the school for handicapped is promoted by using value of equal opportunity and making to individuality properly, and that the confrontation is the one by the difference of the view of equality. The Japanese view of equality was not performed only to treat equally. It is necessary to contemplate this fact, and to restructure a Japanese view of equality.
