抄録: Today our youth are faced with "the crisis of identity crisis". This crisis is a psycho-historical problem which has come out with the modern history of post-war Japan, especially with the high growth of economy in '60s. This paper is a part of study inquring what has been the relevant change of social structure and identity of youth in post-war Japan, and what, at the end, will show us how to draw the image of person as an object of education today. Identity of '50s' youth is the direct subject of this study. '50s' Japan is the midway between the post-war reformation and the high growth of economy. The social principle, especially in schools, was democracy, but the poverty and semi feudalism was influential. Many self-education movements of youth appeared in villages and factories. And through these movements, the typical identity of '50s' youth in general was born. This study inquires a certain life-record (life composition) circle in a textile factory- 'Seikatsu o Kirokusuru Kai' ('Society of Life-Recording')-, and the identity of this members which had had grown through this circle.
