| 抄録: | This article views the history of NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) religious program and considers its changes. NHK's religious programs mainly consist of commentary on the Bible or the cannons of major religions, talks by priests and religious practitioners, and so on. Although this style seems unchanged since the 1920s', it has been gradually changed to respond to the changing times and demands of society. Programs are frequently renamed and were reconstructed from 1920s'to 1941. However, the programming was stabilized by the birth of the program "Syukyo no Jikan (The Time of Religion)" which developed after WWII. After the war, NHK religious programs set the mission for themselves to lead people to the right understanding of religions and to let people be free from superstition and new religions, which caused social confusion at that time. In the 1960-70s', the program purposes started giving importance for advice on living a religious life (more pragmatical purpose) as well as cultivating religious knowledge, and this tendency became salient in the 80s'. Two approaches - giving cultivating knowledge and pragmatic advice to live more religiously - were established in these days and continue to this day. |
