The deformation is assumed as follows: The initial time of the vertical movement delays successively in the x direction and the final elevation of a bottom is expressed by the formula, exp(―r2/a2). The directivity coefficient, which is defined by the ratio between the heights of waves radiated in opposite directions, is obtained with respect to the horizontal speed of the bottom deformation. 内容記述 | Numerical experiments have been performed to investigate the nature of tsunami generated by the progressive deformation of a sea bottom. The deformation is assumed as follows: The initial time of the vertical movement delays successively in the x direction and the final elevation of a bottom is expressed by the formula, exp(―r2/a2).
