From geomagnetic observations at Kakioka and Aburatsubo was ascertained the fact that the maximum decrease of the Z component of the Sq occurs about an hour earlier in central Japan than at any other observatory in the Far East. On analysing the Sq during the Second International Polar Year, it is found that the aforementioned anomaly of Sq is most likely caused by the anomalously small internal origin part which would suggest low electrical conductivity under Japan. 内容記述 | An anomalous feature of the Z component of the Sq in the central part of Japan is pointed out.
