1. I have measured the absorption spectra of the aquocobaltammines and thereby demonstrated the influence of the coordinated water molecules. 2. The stereochemical configurations of the following cobaltammines were thoroughly determined. [Co(NH3)3Cl2H2O]X, [Co(NH3)3Cl(H2O)2]X2, [Co(NH3)3(H2O)3]X3, [Co(NH3)2Cl2(H2O2)X, [Co(HN3)2(H2O)3Cl]X2, [Co(NH3)3(NO3)3], [Co(NH3)4(H2O)2]X3, [Co(NH3)4ClH2O]X2 [Co(NH3)3C2O4NO3] 3. The following two new cobalt complex salts were produced. (1) Trans [Co(NH3)3(H2O)3]Cl3 (2) [CO(NH3)3C2O4NO3] 4. The formula [Co(NH3)3C2O4(H2O)2]NO3, which was given by Werner, must be amended to [Co(NH3)3C2O4NO3]H2O. 5. with regard to the substitution reactions of the cobaltammines which have radicals of the strong acids in the complex nucleus, a clear explanation has been given by the study of absorption of light and electrolytic conductivity. In conclusion, the author tenders his sincere thanks to Prof. Y. Shibata for his kind guidance and suggestions.
