Namely, rational expectations held by the discriminator and the discriminated complement each other, together forming an equilibrium, with no game-theoretically conclusive account who has initiated the equilibrium formation. The theory could thus be (ab)used for victim blaming, as if the discriminated-against has in part “invited” discrimination. A possible remedy is to replace the discriminator-vs-victim game with a discriminator-vs-discriminator game where the victim is no longer an active player.
