Yoshimi Takeuchi, a renowned Japanese scholar whose main interest is in modern Chinese literature, is also active at the outside of academia in questioning various issues concerning not only Asia but also politics, individual, society and so on. In this paper, I analyze some arguments on his thought which has been published since 1980 after his death, and show how the concepts like Asia, Europe, Japan and nation are re-examined.
