In EEG and MEG studies, we need to estimate the current source distribution with the use of the lead field in order to perform the localization of brain function. Minimum norm estimation (MNE) and weighted minimum norm estimation (wMNE) are the typical methods for current source estimation, but they use MEG/EEG data only at a certain point in time. In this study, we utilize cross-correlation coefficients as time series information.The results for the simulation data show that this method highlights the current sources that have temporal relevance.
