This study examined the potential of long-term programs to improve learning outcomes for participants. Interviews with educators from two art museums that run long-term programs revealed the following insights: (1) Long-term programs have a greater impact on individual learning compared to one-off events; (2) They also contribute to the formation of communities centered around the art museum. However, the lack of long-term programs in many museums is linked to insufficient human and material resources. This resource shortage also hinders the concrete evaluation of the learning effects of long-term programs.
