In terms of the accent system, the Nushima dialect belongs to the Chuo-shiki (aka Keihan-shiki) group just like the mainland dialects of Awaji-shima, yet the Nushima dialect has some two-accentual-unit forms which other Chuo-shiki dialects including the Awaji-shima dialects do not have.
