However, Shoei Motoki, chief compiler of the first English-Japanese dictionary compiled in 1814, indicated that there are some instances where it is not possible to get the proper Japanese word by translating from English to Dutch, and then into Japanese. The present author has made clear the method,  in his previous paper, for obtaining the correct Japanese word as Motold indicated. The current paper makes it clear that the problem was also successfully solved in the first English-Japanese vocabulary compiled by Shoei Motoki in 1811.
