In this paper, \"self-actualization\" is defined from a time-theoretical point of view, and the significance of it is examined. As an immanent principle of education, \"future-oriented nature\" must be pointed out. This \"future-oriented nature\" has, in the levels of principle and practice, caused lots of problems which are mutually related.
