From the qualitative analysis of her stories about anticipation for one male student's manner of interaction, it is suggested that this experienced teacher recognizes and deals with the problematic situation students might psychologically experience, based on two concepts : (1) incoherent emergence of developmental processes, (2) different perceptions of psychological distance as representation of desire for autonomy.
