Next, he demonstrates that imitation in a play is not mere repetition but the act of “bringing forth” from a model./ 　Our study clarifies the following points. First, although a young child who is engrossed in a play enjoys both the imitation and repetition, these aspects differ according to the audience; further, they differ according to the player's recognition of them, which arises during the play. Second, imitation in a play necessitates an audience because it is an expression, and the audience, which also acts as a player, contributes to the realization of the play.
