The Indonesian government recommends cooperation of the above two types of educations, with the slogan \"Link and Match.\" Vocational high-schools practice a curriculum named \"system ganda (i.e., dual system)\" and students are sent to \"magang (i.e., where they become apprentices, studio, atelier).\" Anthropological investigations have been carried out six times, each of which lasted about 2 months, at Jakarta, Yogjakarta, and Bali island from 1994 to 1997. The characteristics of the formal education at Bali are as follows : Time, space, people, and tools are divided and each of those divided parts are homogeneous and exchageable. The informal education at Bali is characterzed by circulation and imitation, where \"magang\" is originated from rural community. At Jakarta, on the contrary, \"magang\" in \"system ganda\" is adapted to a market, which is an industrialized space. At Yogjakarta, there have been learning spaces named \"sanggar\" outside of schools, but some of them are now school-like.
