The case is \"Komon-zukuri\" by Shigeru SUGIOKA, which was a teaching practice on the Hiroshima Island in the Seto Inland Sea. There was a prospect of forthcoming educational trend. To explain his challenge, a location.in two historical perspectives may be helpful. One is the shift of the Course of Study and the other is the change of teachers'conditions in their daily teaching practices. In this case, the leading role was not played by the teacher, but the pupils. The pupils deliberately built their school gate by their own efforts. What is important is that the pupils led their learning activities of their own accord and could expand their learning as knowing the life into more growing one. To support that, teachers practiced in a body. These characteristics of this case had been embodied the mind of the Course of Study, and SUGIOKA could appreciate the full implication of it and his colleagues could understand with his help.
