In this thesis, through a case study of Magnet Schools (MS) implemented in the city of Milwaukee, I clarified the current educational alternatives under the following two points; first how each Magnet School forms their specialized curriculum so as to realize their alternative educational goals. Secondly, how Administration Office of School Board is seeking accountability for MS so as to maintain standards of public educational achievement.// Data for this research was collected through interviews with people who are concerned with MS in Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS); Administrators in Central Office of the School Board, Teachers and Principals in MS.
