The wave number in weakly anisotropic media involves imaginary terms. Rayleigh waves in an anisotropic medium always face a stability problem due to the imaginary term. In weakly anisotropic media, the longitudinal and vertical components (u, w) compose quasi-Rayleigh waves which resemble Rayleigh waves in an isotropic medium. The horizontally transverse components (v) behave as quasi-Love waves which are independent of the former quasi-Rayleigh waves with respect to the elastic coefficients. The quasi-Love waves then decrease in amplitude with depth in the material. The increase (or decrease) of Rayleigh wave velocity due to anisotropy of the media leads to shrinkage (or expansion) of quasi-Rayleigh wave orbit. In this case, the vertical component of the Rayleigh wave is more sensitive than the horizontal one to anisotropy. The Rayleigh wave orbit is quite sensitive to the velocity change due to anisotropy. For instance, a one percent velocity increase causes about 10 percent increase in the Rayleigh wave orbit size (major and/or minor axis). When the quasi-Rayleigh waves are stable (or unstable), the Rayleigh wave orbit axis tilts backward (or forward). When a Rayleigh wave increases (decreases) in amplitude by 10 or 20 percent after traveling the distance of the wavelength, the inclination angle of the orbit at the surface is in the range 5~30 degrees.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"},{"subitem_description":"本論文において弱い異方性媒質における表面波が,特にレーリー波の軌道とその速度または安定性との関係に注意をはらって,論じられている.弱い異方性媒質における波数は虚数の項を持っている.その結果として異方性媒質におけるレーリー波はつねに安定性の問題に直面している.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_4_full_name_3":{"attribute_name":"著者別名","attribute_value_mlt":[{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"127202","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"桃井, 高夫"}]}]},"item_4_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15083/0000032743","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_4_publisher_20":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"東京大学地震研究所"}]},"item_4_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00162258","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_4_source_id_8":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"00408972","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_4_subject_15":{"attribute_name":"日本十進分類法","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"453","subitem_subject_scheme":"NDC"}]},"item_4_text_21":{"attribute_name":"出版者別名","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"Earthquake Research Institute, University of Tokyo"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Momoi, Takao"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"127201","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2017-06-26"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"ji0663001.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.2 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"ji0663001.pdf","url":"https://repository.dl.itc.u-tokyo.ac.jp/record/32743/files/ji0663001.pdf"},"version_id":"16ad0357-019f-43c3-82d6-444ec26545f0"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"The Orbit of Surface Waves in Weakly Anisotropic Media","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"The Orbit of Surface Waves in Weakly Anisotropic Media","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"4","owner":"1","path":["4721","4722"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2008-05-30"},"publish_date":"2008-05-30","publish_status":"0","recid":"32743","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["The Orbit of Surface Waves in Weakly Anisotropic Media"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2022-12-19T05:17:26.755538+00:00"}
