First, the expansion is carried out on the assumption that the eccentricity and the inclination of the orbit are constant while the longitude of the ascending node and the argument of perigee of the moon vary in proportion to the time. Numerical calculations show the amplitudes agree with the values of the preceding precise com- putation with an accuracy of 2.3 per cent. After that, the effect of periodic changes of the elements is taken into consideration. Here, the method of variation of constants is applied. This method, on the one hand, gives the means of calculation of amplitude for new components generated by the perturbation.
