The present paper deals with the six deep-focus earthquakes in the Japan area by use of the records at Matsushiro with mechanical long-period seismographs. It is ascertained that the original pulse-form thus obtained can be well explained by H. Honda's theory of a spherical seismic origin. Good agreement of the theory with the observations enables us to estimate the apparent radius of the origin.
