It is the time and method of maintenance that is expected to reduce the life cycle cost of ships. Cost of maintenance is the most important of it. The ship's age is strongly affected by corrosion according as long. Strength of steel is reduced by corrosion. This paper proposes formulation of optimization of maintenance.
