In Split Genitive, both parts of the appositive carry genitive case, while in NAPA only the first part of it does, its second part having no inflection. Lightfoot (1999), for example, gives an account of this fact in terms of the loss of morphological case and the reanalysis of genitive case as a clitic. Allen (2002), on the other hand, accounts for it by associating a principle of Morphological Blocking with an agreement in DP. Certainly, these two analyses are valid for explaining this case, but they cannot unify it with the other diachronic changes discussed in Watanabe (forthcoming) which took place almost simultaneously in the transition form OE to ME. Considering these drawbacks of the two previous analyses, then, I provide an alternative explanation for it in terms of the feature classification parameter proposed by Watanabe.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_4_description_6":{"attribute_name":"内容記述","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"Articles","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_4_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15083/00039167","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_4_publisher_20":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"Tokyo University English Linguistics Association"}]},"item_4_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA10462609","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_4_subject_15":{"attribute_name":"日本十進分類法","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"930","subitem_subject_scheme":"NDC"}]},"item_4_text_21":{"attribute_name":"出版者別名","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"東京大学英語学研究会"}]},"item_4_text_4":{"attribute_name":"著者所属","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"The University of Tokyo"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kondo, Norihiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"137886","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2017-06-27"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"Kondo_2008_LR.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"154.7 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"Kondo_2008_LR.pdf","url":"https://repository.dl.itc.u-tokyo.ac.jp/record/39176/files/Kondo_2008_LR.pdf"},"version_id":"d8a56818-a62e-4d7e-ab79-579b327630b2"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Split Genitive","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Non-Agreeing Possessive Appositive (NAPA)","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"agreement in DP","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"formal/semantic features","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"feature classification parameter","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"A Parametric Syntax Approach to the Emergence of Non-Agreeing Possessive Appositives in the History of English","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"A Parametric Syntax Approach to the Emergence of Non-Agreeing Possessive Appositives in the History of English"}]},"item_type_id":"4","owner":"1","path":["6536","6535"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2009-06-23"},"publish_date":"2009-06-23","publish_status":"0","recid":"39176","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["A Parametric Syntax Approach to the Emergence of Non-Agreeing Possessive Appositives in the History of English"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":null},"updated":"2022-12-19T04:13:59.312717+00:00"}
