Um diese Frage zu beantworten, geht es im Folgenden darum, Leibniz'Theorie der \"petites perceptions\", die er über verschiedene Schriften und Aufsätze verstreut dargestellt hat, systematisch zu rekonstruieren, darin eine theoretische Grundlage für die Entstehung der Ästhetik in der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jh. zu suchen und die Ästhetik jenseits von Kunsttheorie bzw.
