Firstly, for comparison, single path laser absorption spectroscopy was applied to investigate target plasma torch flow using an absorption line of ArI 842.46nm. The measured center fractional absorption, temperature and number density were 16.4%, 10400K and 9.9x1017m-3, respectively. Next, the novel system was applied to the same flow to evaluate its sensitivity. As a result, very strong absorption, whose center fractional absorption was close to 100%, was observed.
