After the review of the education policies, the existing researches and discussions concerning active learning, we focus on RBAL as the genuine and developed mode of active learning, which is expected to integrate knowledges and activities and to break the passivity of learners. In order to grasp the reality of RBAL within high schools, we conducted questionnaire surveys to educational committees, principals of high schools, high school teachers and students of University of Tokyo.
