Notably, with the exception of B204 (which belongs to the Ōtani collection in the Lushun Museum) and B75 (which belongs to the London collection), B203–209 and B71–76 belong to a single manuscript, respectively. Since their identification as part of the Buddhastotra in TochSprR(B) II, there have been no philological studies on these Buddhastotra verses barring Prof. Inokuchi’s study on B204, Couvreur’s translation of B71–76 in Dutch and certain previous studies that discuss the words and passages in the verses.\nI had the opportunity to participate in a research project conducted by the Lushun Museum and Ryukoku University in 2011. The project was aimed at investigating the manuscript remains in non-Chinese scripts in the museum. Of the Brāhmī script fragments that I studied, I identified 10 as texts parallel to B203–206 and B73–76. The terms “manuscript A” and “manuscript B” were assigned to B203–206 and B73–76, respectively. In addition, in the course of my research on the Russian Tocharian collection in 2016, one Tocharian B fragment was identified as being parallel to B204.\nIn this study, I present the reconstruction of the Buddhastotra verses belonging to manuscripts A and B, mainly based on the manuscript fragments from the Berlin collection and Lushun Museum. Although each group reflects different linguistic stages of Tocharian B, their texts basically concur with each other.
