This paper analyzes the development of this relationship in the late Soviet era, focusing on Yuri Lotman, the leader of the Moscow-Tartu semiotic school, and Lev Gumilev, the founder of Neo-Eurasianism.\n The key to this relationship is the “method of tying up,” a term coined by Roman Jakobson in his controversial monograph For the Characterization of the Eurasian Language Union (1931). The unity of Eurasia was to be proved through the “tying up” of various structural features — linguistic, cultural, and geographic — shared in Eurasia, but Jakobson actually seems to presuppose this unity, calling it “destiny.” In other words, he picks out only those structural features which lend themselves to being “tied up” into unity. Structural analysis is preconditioned by the existence of an integral space which legitimates the “method of tying up.”\n We can find similar reasoning in Lotman and Gumilev. The commonality between them is manifest in the influence that Vladimir Vernadsky’s concept “biosphere” exerted on them. In the biosphere, all living things are connected with each other and with non-living things through circulation of energy. Similarly, Gumilev argues that an ethnos is connected, or “tied up,” with its environment, and Lotman proposes the idea of the “semioshpere” which ties together various semiotic systems. At the same time, there is a crucial difference between Gumilev and Lotman regarding openness and closure of the space of “tying up.” While Gumilev emphasizes the absolute closure of a “superethnos,” which can never merge with other superethnies, Lotman argues that the boundaries between semioshperes are open; this, however, inserts theoretical confusion into his argument. In this way, we can trace development of the idea of the space of “tying up” from the first Structuralists and Eurasianists to their successors in the late Soviet period.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_4_description_6":{"attribute_name":"内容記述","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"[寄稿]","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_4_full_name_3":{"attribute_name":"著者別名","attribute_value_mlt":[{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"163342","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"NORIMATSU, Kyohei"}]}]},"item_4_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15083/00080026","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_4_publisher_20":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"東京大学大学院人文社会系研究科スラヴ語スラヴ文学研究室"}]},"item_4_select_14":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_select_item":"publisher"}]},"item_4_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN10505587","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"乗松, 亨平"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"163341","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-12-24"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"SLA0350023.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"476.7 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"SLA0350023.pdf","url":"https://repository.dl.itc.u-tokyo.ac.jp/record/54910/files/SLA0350023.pdf"},"version_id":"929383d8-a795-4f8d-9a7c-157533eedbf5"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"「結びつけ」の空間 : 後期ソ連における構造主義とユーラシア主義","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"「結びつけ」の空間 : 後期ソ連における構造主義とユーラシア主義"}]},"item_type_id":"4","owner":"1","path":["8521","8520"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2020-12-24"},"publish_date":"2020-12-24","publish_status":"0","recid":"54910","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["「結びつけ」の空間 : 後期ソ連における構造主義とユーラシア主義"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":null},"updated":"2022-12-19T04:32:20.443481+00:00"}
