Since -jor- and -jar- are items that appear in spoken language, a 501.6-minute spoken corpus was created prior to this study. All the examples used are taken from this corpus. \n -Jor- is used to talk about experiences and customs involving people and inanimate objects. On the other hand, -jar- is used for people other than the speaker and for inanimate objects. When the speaker has a negative impression of the actor, -jar- is used to express that impression. The affix is also found in examples in which the speaker talks about her own negative actions in the distant past (in this case, over sixty years before).
