Intercomparison of volume spectra of aerosols obtained by several kinds of instruments showed that bimodal volume spectra are preferred to interpret the observed data. Values of the complex refractive index of aerosols were also investigated using a polar nephelometer and the diffuse to global radiation ratio measured by
