| 内容記述 | 戦前はジャーナリスト,戦後直後は労働運動指導者として知られた鈴木東民(1895-1979)は,1955年以降,3期12年にわたって釜石市長をつとめた.本稿は,釜石市長としての鈴木東民の仕事を,歴史的な視点から再評価することを課題としている.鈴木東民市政の力点は,道路や学校など地域社会の基盤整備と,広報等を通じての,市民間の交流と対話の空間の創出にあった.本稿ではこれらの政策を,<地域に根ざした福祉政治>,および<開かれた土着主義>として分析する.本稿の最終目的は,釜石市にとってだけでなく,およそ近代日本史における鈴木東民とその市政の意義を再評価することにある. | |||||

| 内容記述 | SUZUKI Tomin, who had been known as a journalist in prewar Japan, and as an active leader of lavor movement just after the war, served as mayor of Kamaishi City for 12 years since 1955. This paper aims to reevaluate the work of SUZUKI Tomin as mayor of Kamaishi City from a historical point of view. The main issues for which SUZUKI worked hard were the improvement of infrastrcture of local communities, including roads and schools, and the creation of public space for the dialogue among citizens. This paper tries to analyze these policies as ""welfare politics based on local community"" and ""in digenous but open politics."" The final purpose of this paper is to reevaluate the significance of the work of SUZUKI Tomin as mayor of Kamaishi City in the framework of the modern history of Japan. | |||||
