| 内容記述 | 1990年代前半からさかんに語られた情報化社会論は,その多くが「技術が社会を変える」という技術決定論的な立場をとっていた.この技術決定論に対してはさまざまな批判があり,現在の情報化社会論は,「技術を決定するのは社会である」という社会決定論的な認識から,技術決定論に対して一定の距離をおき,技術決定論批判を取り込むかたちで議論を展開している.この技術決定論への距離のとり方にはいくつかのパターン,形式があるが,最終的には技術決定論に回帰する傾向にあり,そこには遅延された技術決定論と,素朴な社会決定論との相互依存的な関係が見られる.本論は,現在の情報化社会論の主要な論点を取りあげ,この技術決定論の留保と回帰の形式を分析し,その問題構成および,それらが前提とする認識,そしてその問題点を明らかにすることを目的とする. | |||||

| 内容記述 | Most of the discussions since the first half of 1990 s on informatized society took technological determinism position. However, various criticisms have been made against this position, and recent discussions on informatized society apt to differentiate themselves from technological determinism. They have a recognition that ""the society rules the technology,"" and are developing discussions inclusive of the criticisms on technological determinism. There are several patterns in the way of differentiation, but they all tend to regress toward technological determinism, which shows the interdependence between delayed technological determinism and naive social determinism. This paper deals with recent major controversies on informatized society, analyzes the patterns of suspension and regression toward technological determinism, and aims to clarify its problematique and its implicit assumptions. | |||||
