| 内容記述 | 現代デンマーク語の従属節では定動詞の繰り上げが起こらないが、中世から近世初期のデンマーク語では繰り上げが起こっていた。定動詞の繰り上げは、16 世紀から徐々に減少していった。他方、中世デンマーク語はハンザ同盟経済圏での共通語であった中世低地ドイツ語との深い言語接触を経験していることが分かっている。本稿ではコーパス調査を通じて、デンマーク語の従属節語順の変化に影響を与えた可能性のある中世低地ドイツ語の用例が実際に存在したことを示す。また、両言語の話者の接触に関する社会的状況について考察した上で、Van Coetsem (1988) のモデルを参考にしつつ、デンマーク語の従属節における語順の変化が、統語的借用と既存の表現の再分析に起因する可能性を提示する。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | In the subordinate clauses of modern Danish, the finite verb does not move from V (the head of VP) to higher T (the head of TP), while it did in the Danish between the medieval and early modern periods. The frequency of the movement gradually declined from the 16th century. It is also well known that Middle Danish experienced close contact with Middle Low German, which was a lingua franca around the area where the Hanseatic League had strong economic influence. / This paper investigates the position of the negative elements in Middle Low German subordinate clauses via a corpus research and shows that there were abundant usages in Middle Low German that might have influenced the change of the word order of the Danish subordinate clauses. In addition, the contact between these two languages and the mechanisms of contact-induced grammatical change are discussed, using Van Coetsem’s (1988) model. / The possibility that the word order change was caused by syntactic borrowing is proposed. The possibility of reanalysis is also suggested, i.e., it is possible that the syntactic change resulted from the original word order with stylistic fronting and that the word order was reanalyzed as one without finite verb movement. | |||||||||
