How were the online classes conducted, what are the effectiveness and challenges, and how will this experience affect the future? A questionnaire survey was administered to 3,000 university faculty members nationwide to understand the prevailing questions. / The results revealed the following. First, many faculty members tried their best to conduct online classes during the Covid-19 pandemic even though they were unfamiliar with the process. Second, although evaluation depended on and differed because of the varying experiences related to distance learning and the efforts expended, the evaluation thereof from the perspective of university faculty was not necessarily low. 内容記述 | Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Japanese universities have maintained their educational functions by introducing online education. How were the online classes conducted, what are the effectiveness and challenges, and how will this experience affect the future? A questionnaire survey was administered to 3,000 university faculty members nationwide to understand the prevailing questions. / The results revealed the following. First, many faculty members tried their best to conduct online classes during the Covid-19 pandemic even though they were unfamiliar with the process.
