The purpose of this study is to gain academic and practical insights into the involvement of external advisors in schools by examining the difficulties faced by the supervisors when engaging in school reform within learning communities, as well as their approaches to overcoming these challenges. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight supervisors, and conceptual categories were generated based on the interview data. Through the examination of the data for each category, two academic implications emerged: the multi-layered and context-dependent experiences of the supervisors, and presenting supervisors’ experiences as one of the external supports in school as learning community.
