| 内容記述 | History of campus festivals is an important topic of historical studies on the university. In the postwar era, the students sought democracy and peace, aiming to influence society through the campus festival of the University of Tokyo, or Gogatsusai (May Festival). In response, the university expressed concern that the neutrality might be undermined by the excesses of the movement. This led to conflicts between the students and the university, particularly during the 1960s and 1970s. This paper describes specific instances of these conflicts, as well as the extreme situation in 1969 when Gogatsusai was not held. | |||||||||
