| 内容記述 | Based on the background of government-level policy initiatives, this study aims to examine the implementation of the internationalization and revitalization of local universities in South Korea. It intends to reveal a facet of the practical aspects of new initiatives that link the internationalization of local universities with local revitalization using two case studies. Toward this end, we firstly examine policy trends related to internationalization and local revitalization of South Korean local universities. We then elucidate their current status through the case studies. Finally, we conduct a comparative analysis of the cases to obtain insight into the internationalization of local universities and its implications on local revitalization. The study expects that local universities in South Korea will accurately recognize the characteristics of their respective institutions and develop internationalization strategies based on such characteristics. They will then implement initiatives suitable for their universities and diversely promote local revitalization as part of their internationalization efforts. | |||||||||||||||||
