| 内容記述 | 本稿では古代ギリシア語エーリス方言のR 音化およびパンピューリア方言の語末鼻音消失のそれぞれの現象について、碑文資料を用いて文献学的な調査を行い、それぞれの音変化の時期と音環境を調べた上で、音韻論的な考察を付する。エーリス方言のR 音化は紀元前5 世紀まで有声子音の前で生じていたが、紀元前4 世紀から語末の全環境に拡大した。その音韻論的な動機は音素体系の複雑化を契機とした文法の単純化であると主張する。パンピューリア方言の語末鼻音消失は紀元前4 世紀以前に開始し、紀元前3 世紀には全環境で完了した。リュキア語との言語接触や、前鼻音化子音の発生がその原因である可能性がある。この二つの現象は、ギリシア語の語末子音制限の保守性を研究する上で重要である。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper presents philological research of the rhotacism in the Elean dialect of Ancient Greek and the nasal apocope in the Pamphylian dialect, using inscriptions to examine the period and environment of each sound change, and then adds a phonological discussion. Rhotacism in the Elean dialect occurred before voiced consonants until the 5th century BC and spread to the whole word-final environment from the 4th century BC. I claim that the phonological motivation of this rhotacism is grammatical simplification triggered by the increasing complexity of the phonemic system. The nasal apocope in the Pamphylian dialect began before the 4th century BC and was completed in all environments by the 3rd century BC. Language contact with Lycian and the occurrence of pre-nasalized consonants may have triggered this apocope. These two phenomena are important in studying the conservatism of word-final consonant restriction in Greek. | |||||||||
