| 内容記述 | Euclid’s Phaenomena is the work in spherical astronomy in the 4th century BC. As manuscripts containing early Arabic translations, Sezgin (1974) reported the Istanbul manuscript (Seray Ahmed III 3464) and the Leiden manuscript (Leiden Or. 1031). In the Greek textual tradition of the Phaenomena, there are two families denoted by the version a and the version b. Recently, Roughan (2023) pointed out that the text of the Phaenomena contained in the Leiden manuscript mainly bases on the version b of the Greek textual tradition. This paper deals with the Istanbul manuscript which has not been investigated yet. First, I show on which Greek textual tradition the Istanbul manuscript bases, and then what differences between the Greek text and the Arabic text there are. Second, by a comparison with the Leiden manuscript, I characterize the stylistic feature of the text contained in the Istanbul manuscript. | |||||||||
