| 内容記述 | This paper is a term report of the special research course on Slavic linguistic culture “History of the Russian language”, held in the autumn semester of the academic year 2021/2022 under the direction of Prof. Dr. Keiko Mitani at the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures, University of Tokyo. The article presents a translation into Japanese and a grammatical commentary on a passage from the Old East Slavic written work “The Journey of Stefan the Novgorodian”, which is a record of his travel to Constantinople in 1348 or 1349. We provide phonological, morphological, syntactic, and lexical comments on the manuscript from the first half of the 16th century, published in the sixth volume of the Library of Literature of Ancient Rus’ (БЛДР). Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of the Old East Slavic text in comparison with the modern Russian literary language, with the aim of providing practical material in reading old written works for future students. | |||||||||||||||||
