| 内容記述 | This article aims to clarify the formation of a Hong Kong identity.The result reported here is acquired from a telephone poll conducted by the author in April 1997.The poll showed the following facts.The respondents regarded themselves Chinese rather than Hongkongers.At the same time, they trusted Hong Kong government most among the seven governments including Japan and the United States.Japan and Taiwan were least popular among the seven.An identity is affected by the social and political developments.As the previous telephone polls showed, the strength of Hong Kong identity has been fluctuating especially in the 1996 polls.It is neccesary for us to view the formation of Hong Kong identity from various aspects such as the people's view toward Japan and unity of China. | |||||
