内容記述 | Dewey's concept of 'experience' is clarified by contrast with traditional theories of experience. Following are the characteristics of his 'experience' : (i) interaction between living things and the environments in which they live (ii) objective world which penetrates into actions and sufferings of man (iii) experimental effort to change things given, connection with future (iv) be full of relation (v) be full of inference Dewey built up his theory of experience on the consciousness of recovering the loss of the 'continuity of experience' which had been brought forth under the drastic change of society after the industrial revolution. He thought of the subject of education as continuous reorganization of experience. At the phase of education, two principles of experience, 'continuity' and 'interaction', are important. We are able to gain rich suggestions concerning the problems of education today by the examination of Dewey's concept of 'experince.' | |||||
