内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to see the changing process of how parents feel about the expectations and concerns towards schooling. 16 parents were interviewed before and after their child entering school and categorized whether their feelings were more inclined towards expectations or concerns. The result shows that: (1) parents who felt concerns before their child entering school, such as peer relationships, self-assertion, environmental adaptation, or teachers, and these are also tend to show their expectations; (2) parents with daughters were able to cope better with their expectations better than parents who had boys; (3) parents of two or more children showed fears regarding self-assertion of their younger children. However, these concerns were not seen in parents of a single or first-born child. On the other hand, parents who have a first born child express concerns about peer relationships and environmental adaptation, but they hope for their child's independence. It is suggested that parents speak with their children about what they do in the kindergarten in order to better understand how they interact with other children and make friends as they progress into elementary school. This papers children to independently create peer relationships in the Elementary School. | |||||
