内容記述 | The purpose of the present study was to construct a social support scale for Chinese students at Japanese language schools in Japan. At first, by building on previous research it was presumed that the structure of social support was composed of two dimensions. One of the basic dimensions is area of support, which includes learning environment and living conditions. The other dimension is type of support, which includes 5 types such as material, mental, linguistic, directive, informational support. In the first study, 50 items of the social support for Chinese students were collected by interview. Then 6 Chinese students at Japanese language schools were asked to classify each of the 50 items into the area and the type of support. Though this way, all of the items were classified into two dimensions and the structure was confirmed. In the second study, questionnaires were conducted on 319 Chinese students at Japanese language schools. Base on the data, the α coefficients were calculated and the internal consistency of the social support scale was confirmed. In this manner, a social support scale for Chinese students at Japanese language schools in Japan, which consisted of two areas and five types with 50 items, was constructed. | |||||
