| 内容記述 | Magnet School is a desegregation plan in the U. S. urban districts, which provides specialized educational programs. It is designed to attract students of different races or ethnic background. Magnet School became increasingly popular in the mid 1970s especially with a special federal aid program, an amendment to ESAA (Emergency School Aid Act), as a substitute method for a mandatory student reassignment plan such as "forced busing". However, under the meritocratic policy by the Reagan administration, Magnet School turned into an elite school which enrolls many of the most academically successful students in the districts. | |||||
