| 内容記述 | As a part of the National Earthquake Prediction Research Program, Kashiwazaki Micro-earthquake Observatory were established in 1968 in the western part of Niigata Prefecture. Preliminary informations of the micro-earthquake activities have been obtained. The coastal and offshore parts of the Niigata Prefecture and northern part of the Nagano Prefecture are the most active areas in the Shin-Etsu (Nagano-Niigata) district. These active areas are clearly recognized by the destructive earthquakes in historical times as well as by the distribution of epicenters determined instrumentally by JMA. | |||||
