| 内容記述 | The present paper contains a condensed account of my observations on the luminous organs of the following species of fishes made during the years 1908-9: Etmopterus lucifer, E. frontimaculatus, Maurolicus pennanti, Myctophum affine, M. spinosum, M. laternatum, M. watasei and M. splendidum. The work was concluded before the publication of Prof. BRAUER'S comprehensive and excellent work on the same subject, which has made a detailed treatment on my part unnecessary. It is a pleasure to me to express at the outset my hearty thanks to Prof. IJIMA, Prof. WATASE, Prof. GOTO, Mr. MORIWAKI and Mr. TANAKA, who have helped me in various ways, and particularly to Prof. WATASE at whose suggestion the work was undertaken. | |||||
