| 内容記述 | 本稿では、ヒッタイト語で主に使役の機能を果たす-nu-動詞派生接辞が他動詞についた場合に「被使役者を明示しない使役」の機能を果たすと伝統的に言われてきた4つの動詞を扱う。それぞれの語について全ての用例を分析した結果、明らかに被使役者を介在していない例が見つかり、最終的に使役の機能を果たしているとする根拠は見当たらなかった。そして、大亦 (2016)で提案された、他動詞用法につけられた-nu-は他動性の明示の機能を担っているという説が妥当であることを示す。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | There are four derivatives in the -nu- suffix in Hittite, of which the suffix has been traditionally interpreted as a ‘causative marker without an overt causee’, because those forms are derived from transitive verbs. This paper reexamines those -nu- derivatives. A survey of all the examples of each verb shows that there are cases where there is no causee in the context, for which I could not find evidence that -nu- actually has causative function. On these grounds, I argue that -nu- is suffixed to transitive verbs in order to mark their transitivity overtly. | |||||
