| 内容記述 | 統計データの分析に基づいて,1997-8年の金融危機以後における雇用調整の実態を,それ以前の時期と比較して分析した.その結果,人員整理実施事業所の割合,経営上の都合による離職率,失業率,非労働力率のいずれも,大幅な上昇を示していることがわかった.労働時間調整も行われているが,従来にない大規模な雇用者数の調整が進行したことが明らかとなった.これが「終身雇用」イデオロギーに強く規定された日本型雇用システムの転換を意味するのか,それとも,環境変化に対応して順当に機能しているに過ぎないのか,現状では確定できない.だが,今後の動向いかんによっては,雇用システムの部分的修正,あるいは抜本的な転換につながつ可能性も否定できない. | |||||

| 内容記述 | The article examines the patterns of employment adjustments after the financial crises in 1997-8 by comparing statistical data in this period with the periods before 1997. It shows that ratio of plants/facilities which resorted to voluntary severance or other measures of redundancies, ratio of separation for business reasons and unemployment rate increased and participation rate declined drastically. Although there was significant reduction of working hours, it is undeniable that unprecedented size of redundancies occured afer 1997-8. It is difficult to decide whether those changes mean a radical departure from the so-called ""Japanese-style employment systems"" strongly associated with the ""Lifetiem Employment"" ideology or they are just the results of normal responses of the system to changed economic environment. However, it current trends continue, it is possible they lead to partial revision of or even a drastic change of the systems in the near future. | |||||
