| 内容記述 | This is the latter half of my translation of the Ātticuti, the most popular didactic work attributed to Auvai or Auvaiyär/Avvaiyār, and its commentary composed in Tamil by Vēnkatacāmi Nāttār (1884-1944), one of the distinguished commentators of the modern period. I also refer to such a commentary to the Ātticūti written by Ra Irāgavaiyankār (1870-1940) from a brahmanical standpoint. This complete Japanese translation of the well-known work full of aphorisms in the early mediaeval period along with its commentary will be an introduction to the didactic traditions of the literary history of the Tamils. |
